The PADI Open Water Diver course is designed for those who are eager to explore the fascinating underwater world using scuba. With its three-part structure, you will be able to gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to become a certified diver. The first part of the course, Knowledge Development, focuses on imparting important dive principles, concepts, and terms to ensure dive safety and enjoyment. The second part of the course is the Confined Water Dives. Here, you'll learn and practice scuba diving techniques in a pool or a controlled environment. You will get the chance to make one or more mini-dives, which closely simulate the experience of making open water dives. Finally, the Open Water Dives allow you to apply and demonstrate what you have learned during the previous two sections. These dives take place at a local dive site and will help you gain the confidence and skills required to dive safely and independently. To enroll in this course, you must be at least 10 years old and able to swim. You also need to be medically fit for diving. The course can take anywhere from 8 to 15 hours to complete.
